Bio:

What a joy it has been to have the phenomenal Dover Quartet as the first Resident Ensemble in the history of Peoples' Symphony Concerts.  Their instrumental virtuosity, impecable ensemble and musicality and their warmth, as artists and as people, has made them one of the most in-demand ensembles in the world. The Quartet’s rise from up-and-coming young ensemble to occupying a spot at the top of their field has been “practically meteoric” (Strings), and the Quartet’s distinctive sound has helped confirm its status as “the young American string quartet of the moment” (New Yorker). The Dover will perform the world premiere of a piece by Matan Porat commissioned by PSC with the support of the Adele and John Gray Endowment Fund.
